UGG Tasman Guard GTX
Keep your feet dry and comfortably warm, whether it’s pouring outside or slushy snow is lingering on the sidewalk. The men’s slip-on sneakers UGG Tasman Guard GTX in black have got you covered. The GORE-TEX membrane keeps water out while allowing your foot to breathe, so you can handle your commute or a longer stroll through the city with ease. Inside, soft fleece keeps you warm, and you can easily slip them on without laces.
The upper combines leather, textile, and synthetic materials, ensuring the sneaker retains its shape and can withstand rough handling. The lightweight EVA midsole cushions every step, and the Vibram outsole provides reliable grip on wet pavement and slippery surfaces. The Tasman model is inspired by the popular UGG house slippers, but the Guard GTX version is built for outdoor adventures. The low cut and clean black design pair well with jeans, chinos, or joggers, making them versatile for everything from weekend errands to weekday wear. UGG was founded in 1978 by Australian surfer Brian Smith in California and became famous for its sheepskin footwear, where comfort and warmth meet urban style.

Manufacturing takes place in factories participating in the HERproject, which supports women in the supply chain and provides on-the-job training.

Materials
UGG Rollers. A dirty word to some, the best winter boots in the world to others. The UGG brand has literally divided the world into two camps. How did it do it? In 1978 in California, Australian Brian Smith noticed that surfers were quickly putting on the iconic surf boots after getting out of the water to warm up from the icy ocean. One day he discovered that it might actually make a good (not just) winter shoe if made from merino wool. In fact, sheepskin and wool were commonly used in Australia to make boots because of their thermal insulation properties - cooling in the summer, warming in the winter, as well as absorbing odours and moisture. So Brian used his knowledge from his homeland; he discovered that no one in the world made such shoes, so he set to work. UGG Boots became very popular. But their biggest boom came when Oprah Winfrey included them in her list of favourite things and suddenly the whole world had to have them, including stars like Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and Gigi Hadid. Since a certain time UGG doesn't only make roller shoes anymore, but also makes slippers, sandals and has wandered into the apparel waters. They try to make the collections creative, trendy, also focusing on quality workmanship and the right choice of materials. So if you're not a fan of roller shoes, there are other pieces that will make a great addition to your shoe closet.
It's also worth mentioning that UGG makes their collections of shoes and clothing with respect for their employees and our planet. In 2016, the brand also joined the United Nations Global Compact, ranked as the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world. What does this mean? All members strive to promote changes in business to minimize the environmental impact of production. This is something we're a fan of and we're delighted to have another brand in Footshop for whom sustainability and environmentalism is not just a buzzword.
