adidas Adizero Prime X3 Strung

Pure white, high silhouette, and a translucent upper made from thin fibers. The Adizero Prime X3 Strung for men from adidas Performance looks like a speed machine at first glance. You put them on when time is of the essence, and on the road, you’ll feel how the highly cushioned midsole with carbon propels you forward.

At its core is a thick layer of LIGHTSTRIKE PRO foam. A carbon plate works together with ENERGYRODS 2.0 carbon reinforcements. The foam absorbs impact and returns energy. The reinforcements provide the shoe with stiffness and a pronounced push-off, allowing you to maintain your pace even at the end of the race. The Strung upper is made from individual fibers, making the shoe lightweight and breathable, keeping your foot exactly where it should be. On the outsole, you’ll find Continental™ rubber with LIGHTTRAXION tread, which reliably grips both dry and wet asphalt. The neutral landing and standard insole width fit most runners looking for race footwear for road courses. The Adizero line is among the fastest that adidas Performance offers. The brand from Herzogenaurach, founded by Adi Dassler, fine-tunes shoes for top-level competitors.

adidas Adizero Prime

adidas Adizero Prime - Maximum speed and performance for racing and fast-paced training

The Adidas Adizero Prime is a premium, ultra-lightweight, speed-oriented running shoe designed for road racing and intense tempo workouts. They are part of the elite Adizero line, which is optimized for maximum running efficiency, energy return and rebound dynamics. Prime is the model for runners who want the lowest weight, highest speed and precise performance without compromise.

The model uses a Lightstrike Pro polyethylene midsole that offers exceptional responsiveness and efficient energy return with every step. At the core of the construction are carbon and composite EnergyRods that stabilize the stride and promote a quick transition to rebound, which is essential for race pace. Technological Primeknit or Engineered Mesh upper (depending on version) tightly hugs the foot and optimizes breathability without extra layers.

The outsole uses a Continental™ rubber compound to provide maximum traction on dry and wet asphalt. With a low profile and aggressive racing geometry, the Prime feels both energetic and stable, which you'll appreciate at higher speeds and during changes of pace.

They work best for races from 5k to half marathon, fast intervals, tempo runs and performance-oriented training. For normal racing and training use, you can expect a lifespan of around 300-500 km, depending on running style and intensity of use. If you're looking for a shoe that will push you to the limit of personal bests, the adidas Adizero Prime is the perfect choice.

Materials

TechnologyCarbonCarbonA technological game-changer in modern running shoe construction. This is a composite material made of extremely thin fibers from carbon atoms, excelling in an unmatched ratio of minimal weight to immense strength. In the shoe's midsole, a curved carbon plate acts as a mechanical spring. Upon impact, it slightly flexes, stabilizing the super-soft cushioning foam, and during push-off, it rapidly returns energy, catapulting the runner forward. This effect has been shown to reduce muscle fatigue and increase running efficiency by several percent.
UpperTextileTextileThe textile upper of the sneakers is lightweight, breathable and comfortable, ideal for everyday wear and sports. It ensures air circulation, keeps feet fresh and adapts to their shape. Often complemented with synthetic or rubber details for durability and support. / StrungStrungThe Strung upper technology was developed by adidas and represents a significant innovation. The STRUNG upper is created using a data-driven process that places individual fibres exactly where they are needed for optimal performance. The result is a lightweight, seamless fit that provides excellent support and flexibility. The construction minimizes excess material, making the shoe efficient and comfortable for athletes.

MidsoleLIGHTSTRIKE PROLIGHTSTRIKE PROThe most advanced and high-performance cushioning foam from adidas, developed primarily for elite running models in the Adizero line. This is a highly responsive material with low density, known for its extreme lightness and ability to maximize energy return. Unlike standard foams, Lightstrike Pro maintains its elasticity even at high speeds and under long-term stress. The technology is designed to provide a dynamic push-off and effective shock absorption, significantly contributing to speed and reducing leg fatigue. / ENERGYRODS 2.0ENERGYRODS 2.0Revolutionary evolution of classic carbon plates. Instead of a single rigid plate, adidas has integrated five anatomically shaped carbon rods into the midsole, precisely mirroring the structure of the metatarsal bones in the human foot. Version 2.0 additionally connects these rods at the heel into a single unit, ensuring an even smoother transition from heel to toe. This construction offers a unique combination of uncompromising stiffness in the direction of running and natural flexibility to the sides. The result is extreme energy return that literally catapults you forward while respecting the biomechanics of your foot. / CarbonCarbonA technological game-changer in modern running shoe construction. It is an ultralight and extremely stiff carbon fiber plate, strategically placed between layers of cushioning foam. The carbon plate acts as a mechanical lever: upon impact, it stabilizes the soft cushioning, minimizes energy loss at the toe joints, and rapidly returns energy during push-off, catapulting you forward. This synergy has been shown to reduce muscle fatigue, improve running economy, and allow you to maintain a fast pace with much less effort.
SoleContinental™Continental™A technological leader in the production of high-performance soles for outdoor and running shoes. This premium rubber compound, developed by tire experts, guarantees 30% more grip on wet and dry surfaces compared to conventional materials. Continental™ soles provide uncompromising stability, efficient energy transfer and exceptional abrasion resistance, making them the ideal choice for demanding terrain and dynamic movement on asphalt. / LIGHTTRAXION

Details

When choosing a size of running or outdoor shoes, it is recommended to have a margin of at least 1 cm in front of the longest toe. This space allows the foot to move naturally, stretching the foot, preventing possible foot problems.

adidas Performance combines performance, comfort and the latest technology. While adidas Originals relies on retro silhouettes and streetwear, Performance is as focused as possible on pushing the boundaries of athletic performance. Founded in 1949 by Adi Dassler, the brand has always placed a strong emphasis on innovation. From the first lightweight soccer cleats to today's models equipped with Boost foam technology or the revolutionary 4D midsole.

Among the most famous models is the adidas Ultraboost, a running shoe that has also become a lifestyle classic thanks to its comfort. For indoor sports or basketball lovers, there are models like the Dame 8 or the Harden Vol. 7. Trail runners, on the other hand, reach for the Terrex collection. A specific feature of the products is the sophisticated functionality, which is ensured by breathable Primeknit fabrics or innovative recycled Primegreen materials.

The Performance models are worn by top athletes from all over the world. Stars such as Lionel Messi and Mohamed Salah represent them on the football pitch, while in basketball, James Harden and Donovan Mitchell, for example, have bet on adidas.

The collections often work with classic neutrals like black, white and beige. But you can also brighten up fitness centres and mountaintops with brightly coloured pieces that are sure to turn heads. Thanks to top-quality materials and precise cuts, you'll experience freedom and maximum enjoyment of movement. With adidas Performance, you'll always be ready for anything.

Give the Performace models a chance, even if you're not into sports. You'll find plenty of fashionable pieces from the Ultraboost or 4D ranges that will have your back in the city.
