Air Jordan 1 Low
The icon that freed the ankle and dominated street style - Air Jordan 1 Low
Looking for a shoe that carries the DNA of the greatest basketball legend but offers the ease for everyday wear on the streets? Air Jordan 1 Low is exactly the silhouette that redefines modern streetwear. At Footshop, we see the “Lows” as an essential foundation for any rotation – combining the story from 1985 with a low profile that gives you maximum freedom of movement. It’s a shoe that doesn’t need a high collar to maintain its status as one of the most influential sneakers of all time.
A story of rebellion that started with the Chicago Bulls jerseys
It all began in 1984, when designer Peter Moore created a black-and-red design for Michael Jordan that had to match the Chicago Bulls jerseys. The NBA then banned the shoes for not being white enough, and Jordan paid a fine of $5000 for each game he wore them. While the High version dominated the courts, the Low emerged as a lifestyle alternative for those wanting to wear the same design off the court. Since its release in 1985, the “ones” have maintained their status as the most popular silhouette, now available in thousands of colorways.
Timeless design and premium materials
Air Jordan 1 Low proves that there’s power in simplicity. At Footshop, we select pieces that focus on premium leather, suede details, and precise stitching. Even in the low version, you’ll find all the key elements: the iconic Wings logo (subtly placed on the heel), a perforated toe for better breathability, and of course, a cushioned Air unit in the midsole. This ensures that every step on the urban asphalt is soft and stable.
Who wears "Lows" and how to set trends in them?
In recent years, Air Jordan 1 Low has experienced an incredible boom. They have become a canvas for the biggest collaborations – from Travis Scott to fashion houses like Dior. Influencers, rappers, and artists around the world love them for their unmatched versatility. They pair perfectly with wide baggy jeans that highlight the shoe's toe, as well as with shorts and high white socks for that true summer vibe. If you’re looking for a piece of history in a modern, relaxed cut, invest in a legend at Footshop.

In the history of sneakers, there is perhaps no more successful collaboration between a sneaker brand and an athlete than in the case of Michael Jordan and Nike. From the union of these two concepts came a legend in the form of Air Jordan in 1984. These sneakers were initially worn exclusively by the legendary thirty-three, however, within a few months of their introduction, Jordans were also in the hands of the public.
The legend in the form of the Air Jordan 1
The Air Jordan 1, which Michael first put on more than thirty years ago, is now one of the most popular silhouettes among sneakerheads. But the beginnings weren't exactly easy. In 1985, the most famous basketball player in history was banned from wearing Jordan 1 shoes because they didn't meet the prescribed game dress code, according to the NBA . To make matters worse, he would have to pay a $5,000 fine for every game he wore them.
This, of course, wouldn't be the seasoned Nike, which had a proper respect for its workhorse. Rather than risk the recall of this Jordan sneaker, it was decided that the company would rather cash in any such fine to Michael just so he could wear the J's as they were. The pinnacle of healthy audacity was an ad for just the Air Jordan 1 shoe called "banned." It featured, among other things, the legendary line, "The NBA threw them (Air Jordan 1) out of the game. Unfortunately the NBA can't stop YOU from wearing them".
New era, new Jordans
Time moved on, and as the years passed, so did more Jordan shoes. After the legendary 1s came the 2s, then the 3s, and by 2000 the number of new silhouettes had climbed to 15. Today, there are many more, and more models are still being added. However, even though these are far from being some worthless pieces, the glory of their first retro models is hardly matched by the new Jordan shoes aka Jordans .
Nike Jordan shoes have already entered their fourth decade of existence. Unlike a lot of other brands, Jordan sneakers have never strayed from their pre-marked path, that is to produce basketball sneakers for top athletes. But from the street basketball courts and gym floors, Air Jordan shoes have moved in a big way to the city streets as well. Among other things, the popularity among fashion and sneaker fans is also due to their popularity among the world's music stars, who do not hesitate to wear Jordan sneakers to concerts, fashion events and the most prestigious music awards.
