This process involves collecting, cleaning, and shredding used plastic bottles and industrial waste into small flakes, which are then melted and spun into new recycled polyester fiber (rPET). This material has exactly the same technical properties as virgin polyester – it is extremely strong, lightweight, quick-drying, and wrinkle-resistant. However, the main benefit is ecological: recycling PET bottles consumes 59% less energy and produces 32% less CO₂ emissions than producing new plastic. Additionally, it effectively reduces the amount of plastic waste in oceans and landfills, thereby closing the circular cycle of the material.
Recycled polyester: Sustainable material made from used plastics (e.g., PET bottles) and industrial waste. It has identical technical properties to regular polyester – it's extremely strong, lightweight, and wrinkle-resistant. However, its production requires half the energy and significantly reduces CO₂ emissions. Products made from recycled fibers dry quickly, retain their shape, and are highly abrasion-resistant.
