KENZO Gots Boke Flower 2.0 Embroider
Black color, clean lines, and one striking flower. This is how the men's t-shirt KENZO looks, telling you enough without grand gestures. The embroidered Boke Flower motif on the front adds a touch of Japanese craftsmanship and Parisian elegance to even the simplest outfit. You wear it feeling like you have more than just an ordinary basic on.
The t-shirt is made from cotton with GOTS certification, which is an international standard for organic textiles. It feels soft against the skin and breathes well. Thanks to the relaxed fit cut, it drapes loosely and doesn’t pull anywhere. The round neckline and short sleeves give it a classic, timeless silhouette, while the cuffs and hem remain simple, allowing the embroidery to take center stage. You can pair the black t-shirt with straight pants and sneakers. In the evening, throw on an unbuttoned shirt or a light jacket, and you’re ready to head out. KENZO was founded in 1970 in Paris by Japanese designer Kenzo Takada. The Boke Flower, inspired by the Japanese quince, was introduced to the collections by creative director Nigo.

Details
In the second half of the 20th century, Kenzo Takada was a trendsetter through and through. In 1970, as a graduate of the Tokyo University of Fashion, he opened his first store in central Paris, Jungle Jap, decorated to evoke a jungle setting, laying the foundations for his Kenzobrand . The brand became known in its early years for its novel combination of designs from Japanese culture and European cuts.
Since 2011, Kenzo has been led by Opening Ceremony founders Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, who, following the example of Takada's pompous shows, have spent eight years trying to bring the least expected to the scene with each new collection. In 2019, Felipe Oliveira Baptista, who was until then the head designer of Lacoste, took over as creative director of Kenzo .
