ANIMA Atomic RT
The clean low silhouette and rich green color make the unisex sneakers ANIMA Atomic RT a piece that feels modern yet effortless. Pair them with wide pants, jeans, or shorts, and your outfit instantly gets a fresh color accent. Plus, you know what they’re made of and what happens to them when they’ve served their time.
The upper combines textile and synthetic materials made from recycled polyester, keeping the sneaker lightweight and maintaining its shape even with daily wear. The low cut allows for ankle freedom, while the rubber outsole provides reliable grip on pavement and asphalt. The model is built on the concept that defines the ANIMA brand. The sneakers are made from recycled R-PET plastics and operate on a closed-loop system. When you’re done with them, they get crushed, and the material is entirely reused to create new pairs. The sneakers come in a fabric bag, perfect for travel or storing your kicks.

ANIMA – the first sneaker brand with zero waste
Almost every sneaker ever made still exists somewhere. Over 24 billion pairs of shoes are produced each year, and 95% of them end up in landfills or incinerators, where they decompose for over 500 years, leaving behind 313 million tons of CO₂. ANIMA has decided to stop this cycle. Instead of chasing constant novelty, it focuses on the idea of "forever" – on sneakers that, at the end of their life, don’t end but begin anew.
ESTERE: a material without end
The heart of the brand is the patented material ESTERE, developed by ANIMA in collaboration with the Taiwanese institute ITRI, one of the world's leading applied research centers. ESTERE is made exclusively from recycled PET bottles and recycled polyester clothing. It is a single-material solution from which all parts of the shoe can be made – the upper, midsole, and outsole. It replaces traditional EVA foam and rubber without compromising performance.
The closed-loop 4EVERLOOP
Because the entire sneaker is made from a single material, it can be crushed, melted down, and turned into a new pair once it has served its purpose. The principle of 4EVERLOOP is simple: recycled PET is crushed, transformed into sneakers, worn, crushed again, and remade. The result is footwear that can be recycled endlessly and will never become waste.
Technology that works now
This is not a vision for the future. ANIMA holds 10 international patents for the midsole, outsole, and the entire shoe, and produces in collaboration with Pou Chen Group, the largest footwear manufacturer in the world. The brand is backed by a team with experience from companies like Nike, Puma, Foot Locker, Tom Ford, and Versace, and includes supporters like Japanese entrepreneur Yusaku Maezawa, founder of the fashion platform ZOZOTOWN.
Design with a clear purpose
"Waste is vulgar," says ANIMA. Every line, texture, and material has its reason and is chosen with performance and rebirth in mind. Anything that does not serve circularity disappears from the design. Sneakers are not the final product here but part of a system where nothing ends. The result is premium footwear that straddles the line between athletic performance, fashion, and sustainability, without feeling like a compromise.
Zero waste. Zero excuses.
The brand's goal is to put an end to waste in the footwear industry once and for all. You wear ANIMA sneakers just like any other. When they’ve served their purpose, they become raw materials for the next generation. Choose your pair at Footshop and become part of a cycle where nothing ends.
