Omni-Heat™: Columbia's award-winning family of technologies that are revolutionising thermal insulation in outdoor clothing. The main principle of this system is intelligent body temperature regulation. The most famous version uses a silver thermo-reflective pattern on the inside of the garment to reflect the wearer's own heat back to the body, while the breathable structure of the material allows excess moisture and heat to escape. The Omni-Heat™ family includes varying degrees of protection - from lightweight reflective linings to advanced synthetic insulation that mimics down feathers in its properties. The result is clothing that is lightweight, great packable and provides maximum thermal comfort without bulk.

Omni-Shield™: Advanced long-term protection technology that acts as a barrier against water and dirt. This surface treatment prevents liquids from penetrating the fibre structure, so that liquids (water, mud, coffee) simply run down the surface of the fabric without leaving stains. Materials with this technology dry 3 to 5 times faster than conventional fabrics because they do not absorb moisture as intensively. Omni-Shield™ is ideal for outdoor activities in changeable weather because it keeps clothing light and clean without compromising breathability.
