The North Face Thermoball
Warmth, comfort and reliability in cold conditions - The North Face Thermoball
The North Face ThermoBall is a lightweight, warm and versatile outdoor shoe designed for cold weather, urban winter days and lighter outdoor excursions. With ThermoBall™ Eco synthetic insulation that mimics the properties of down, the boots provide excellent warmth, long-lasting comfort and reliability even in wet conditions. They are ideal for winter walking, travel, everyday wear and easy winter adventures.
The model uses a durable and waterproof upper that protects against moisture and cold, while the soft inner lining enhances thermal comfort. ThermoBall™ Eco insulation retains heat even in wet conditions, a major advantage over traditional down. The soft foam midsole provides comfort even on longer walks, and the outsole with Winter Grip technology and IcePick® sipes provides good traction on snow and frozen surfaces.
They work best in urban winter conditions, on snowy paths, park trails and when traveling in cold weather. Thanks to the quality materials and robust construction, you can expect a lifespan of around 500-700 km, depending on the type of surface and usage. If you're looking for a boot that's warm, comfortable, reliable and ready for winter, The North Face ThermoBall is a great choice.
Materials
Primaloft®: It is a synthetic fibre, originally developed for the US military, very popular in the production of outdoor clothing because of its ability to provide warmth, and thanks to its high water repellency, it excels in its thermal insulation capabilities.
ThermoBall™ Eco: Insulation technology developed to achieve thermal comfort similar to down but with the performance of synthetic fibres. The insulation is made up of small spherical fibres that trap air and generate heat even in high humidity or rain. "Eco" refers to the use of recycled materials, making it a more sustainable alternative to traditional synthetic insulation. The material is lightweight, easy to pack and reliably warm even in challenging conditions.
Textile: The textile upper of the sneakers is lightweight, breathable and comfortable, ideal for everyday wear and sports. It ensures air circulation, keeps feet fresh and adapts to their shape. Often complemented with synthetic or rubber details for durability and support.
60% Rubber: The rubber sole is a traditional and highly reliable element in the construction of footwear, valued especially for its extreme mechanical resistance and grip. This contact layer is made of natural or synthetic rubber, which is characterized by its high density and elasticity. Due to its physical properties, it provides excellent traction on a wide range of surfaces, from smooth asphalt to unpaved terrain. In addition, the rubber is naturally waterproof and resistant to temperature fluctuations, ensuring stability and a secure stride in a variety of climatic conditions.
40% Recycled rubber: It represents a sustainable path to high performance with minimal environmental impact. This material is created by processing used rubber, for example from industrial surpluses or old tyres, thus closing the production cycle and saving primary resources. Despite its ecological origin, it retains excellent mechanical properties such as flexibility, abrasion resistance and reliable traction. It is the ideal choice for modern footwear that combines functional design with responsibility towards the planet.

The popular outdoor brand with American roots was founded in 1968 in California. It is named after the coldest and most inaccessible face of Half Dome Mountain in Yosemite National Park, which is also depicted in the brand's logo. And it has helped many an adventurer scale the heights of the Himalayas.
The story began in sunny, warm San Francisco. In 1966, Douglas Tompkins and Susie Tompkins, a married couple of hiking enthusiasts, decided to open a climbing gear store. Their store, The North Face, began to gain popularity and two years later they moved across San Francisco Bay to Berkeley. There they began designing and manufacturing their own brand of technical climbing clothing and equipment.
In the early 1980s, The North Face also explored the world of skiing and included extreme-condition skiwear in its lineup. If you have any idea what the 1980s were like, you can probably imagine the colors these clothes shone in. Pastels, neons, pastels and more neons. If you put one and one together, you can definitely figure out where the colourful ski jackets that are still very popular across the board today came from. Through diligent development and discovery, eventually the TNF brand lacked nothing short of the essentials, becoming the only supplier in the US to offer comprehensive, high-quality gear for extreme conditions.
More than 50 years later, The North Face has risen to the pinnacle of outdoor gear, becoming a recognized brand among climbers, skiers, snowboarders and many other athletes. Thanks to collaborations with streetwear and fashion brands such as Vans, Supreme, Gucci and Palace, TNF has been embraced by fashion fans around the world, including rappers such as Redman, Travis Scott, Method Man and Drake.
The North Face is not absent from Footshop either. Here you'll find T-shirts, hoodies, windbreakers, iconic puffer jackets, as well as winter jackets and your favourite duffle bags, with which you'll never stop exploring and experiencing new adventures.
