Carhartt WIP Boreal Parka
The wind is blowing, the thermometer is dropping below zero, and you need to head out in the morning without overthinking it. That’s exactly when the Boreal parka from Carhartt WIP comes in handy. You can throw it on over a hoodie or a thicker sweater, zip it up to your neck, pull the hood tight, and you’re good to go. The black color gives it a sleek, clean look that pairs well with work pants, cargo pockets, and dark jeans. The unisex design allows you the freedom to style it your way.
The parka is made from durable canvas of organic cotton with a weight of 407 g/m². The fabric is thick, resilient, and develops its own character over time. The polyester filling keeps you warm, while the cotton and polyester lining easily slides over the layers underneath. It features a two-way zipper with a Velcro flap, so you can unzip the bottom while sitting or driving without letting the wind in. You can cinch the drawstring hood around your face, and the elastic cuffs keep the cold out of your sleeves. Store your keys and phone in the chest pocket, while gloves or a wallet fit nicely in the Velcro pocket. The regular fit leaves enough room for layering, and the embroidery adds the brand’s signature touch to the entire jacket. Carhartt WIP was established in 1989 as the European line of the American workwear manufacturer Carhartt from Detroit, bringing its robust cuts into urban streetwear.

Founded in 1994 by Edwin Faehe, Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) develops custom collections based on original Carhartt workwear. The brand combines authentic adaptations of rugged American archetypes and collaborates with the subcultures that surrounded it. On the other hand, Carhartt WIP also managed to get into new contexts and bring its own classics. From the late 1980s onwards, countercultures around the world adopted the rugged spirit of Carhartt originals workwear and created their own style. With a growing network and a strong base, Carhartt WIP opened its first store in London in 1997 and began to engage in cultural spheres outside its own industry. As a result, the brand established its own skate team and music department, while supporting a number of artists and publishing various publications.
Since 2010, Carhartt WIP has collaborated with a number of like-minded brands including A.P.C., Converse, Fragment Design, Junya Watanabe, Nike and Vetements, as well as working with music icons such as Fela Kuti, Underground Resistance and Vestax.
