DWR (Durable Water Repellent): A special water-repellent coating that is applied to the top layer of the material. It works by reducing the surface tension of the fabric, so that moisture is not absorbed into the fibres but forms droplets on the surface that run off easily. This treatment is key to maintaining breathability - if the outer fabric were to soak up water, it would form an impenetrable barrier that would prevent body vapour from escaping outwards. While DWR doesn't provide complete waterproofing like a membrane, it is an essential accessory that keeps clothing light, dry and fully functional even in rainy weather.

PFC-free water-repellent treatment: A modern water-repellent treatment that ensures the functionality of the material without the use of harmful perfluorinated chemicals. These substances are non-degradable and toxic in nature. Alternative PFC-free technology creates a tension on the fabric surface that allows water droplets to flow away instead of soaking in. High Loft™ : Premium synthetic insulation (often in the form of fleece or padding) that excels with an extremely high warmth-to-weight ratio. The technology uses long, fine fibers with low density that can trap a large amount of air between them – this serves as the most effective thermal insulator. Thanks to its "fluffy" structure, the material is highly compressible, very breathable, and unlike natural down, it retains its insulating properties even when wet. It’s an ideal choice for mid-layers designed for cold conditions.
